The Standards Monitoring Extension provides tools to monitor and
enforce standards compliance, resulting in teams that are better coordinated,
a more efficient and effective design process, and a higher return
on investment in design tools.
The Standards Monitoring Extension improves the CAD standards tools
available in AutoCAD® 2002 software by providing increased performance
and user interface enhancements. In addition, the Standards Monitoring
Extension offers powerful new functionality, including standards filtering,
real-time notification, real-time repair, stand-alone reports, and
direct access to the new CAD Standards Download Center.
Using the standards plug-ins included with the Standards Monitoring
Extension, you can monitor violations against layers, linetypes, dimension
styles, and text styles.
Yes. The Standards Monitoring Extension enables you to filter using
any combination of the included standards plug-ins.
Yes. You can easily send a violation report through email as well
as create a printer-friendly version of the report for printing.
Yes. Although the Standards Monitoring Extension will alert you when
you are in violation of a standard, it still provides you with the
flexibility to override the violation.
Yes. You can create a report that lists all the ignored violations.
The Standards Monitoring Extension is available to members of the
Autodesk® Subscription Program for the following products:
- AutoCAD® 2002
- Autodesk Map? 5
- Autodesk® Land Desktop 3
- Autodesk® Architectural Desktop 3.3
- AutoCAD® Mechanical 6
- Autodesk® Mechanical Desktop® 6
Autodesk® Building Electrical and Autodesk® Building Mechanical
subscription members are eligible for the Standards Monitoring Extension
if they also subscribe to Autodesk Architectural Desktop 3.3.
No. The Standards Monitoring Extension does not work with AutoCAD
LT® software.
No. The Standards Monitoring Extension does not require a service
pack.

Yes, an e-Course training module is available for the Standards Monitoring
Extension. Autodesk e-Courses are self-paced courses that may combine
animation, graphics, text, and drawing files. e-Courses are short, typically
15–30 minutes, and are designed to help you quickly master a key concept
or feature of Autodesk software. They may include an overview, key concept,
or feature explanation(s), and one or more step-by-step exercises. The
Standards Monitoring Extension e-Course is a benefit of your subscription
membership and is available for download from the Autodesk Subscription
