Features and Specifications

The i-drop® Enhancer Extension is a modular enhancement to the i-drop® functionality in AutoCAD® 2002 software and industry-specific applications based on AutoCAD 2002. Available only through the Autodesk® Subscription Program, the i-drop Enhancer Extension delivers the latest technology improvement in a small increment, making learning easier and faster.

Using i-drop functionality, you can insert predrawn content from the Web into your drawings with a simple drag-and-drop operation, saving you steps and speeding your drawing process. With this extension, the power of i-drop technology is expanded with right-click mouse functionality, automatic URL attachment, and activity logging so that you can be even more efficient at your work.

Feature Function Benefit
Right-click shortcut menu Right-click on any i-drop-enabled web content to access the i-drop shortcut menu. Get information where you need it: at the point of work. Access the shortcut menu to view source code, get help, and see the About i-drop box.
Left mouse button drag-and-drop ¡§Quick drop¡¨ Drag the default content type directly into your drawing window. The quickest way to get content from a web site into your design. When you drag content using the left mouse button, you don¡¦t need to make any decisions. The application automatically gets the type of content specified in your default* settings, so your workflow is not interrupted.
Right mouse button drag-and-drop ¡§Power drop¡¨ Provides more flexibility in the type of content that is dropped, how it is accepted and applied in the design session, and where any associated data is stored. The best way to experience all that the i-drop Enhancer Extension has to offer. When you drag content using the right mouse button, you get additional functionality. If multiple types of content are available, you can choose between them. For example, in Autodesk® Architectural Desktop 3.3, you can choose between the AutoCAD block or an Architectural Desktop style if available. You can also select any associated data files that are available, such as part numbers, pricing information, or order forms, and designate where this additional data is stored.
Automatic URL attachment Automatically attaches to dropped content a hyperlink with the website address (URL) of the content source or a location specified by the content provider. Easily navigate back to the content source or content provider-specified web location. Look around to see what¡¦s new or updated, or get more content from that source.
Logging Tracks what, when, and where content has been dropped into your drawing. Specifies the target file, source URL, destination (location) of any associated data files, and the data file names. Plus, it dates and timestamps the drop. Provides easy access to i-drop history log. Know what, when, and where content was dropped into your drawing. The log file is located either in your drawing or program directory. You can easily recognize the log file by the ¡§_idrop.txt¡¨ at the end of your drawing file name.
